Suicidal subject barricades self in Lecanto, later taken into custody
Shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, patrol units with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded out to 1245 West High Acres Street in Lecanto in response to a report of an armed, suicidal subject. Crews battle Crumps Landing fire
Citrus County Fire Rescue and the Sheriff’s Office had units on scene for a reported fire at Crumps Landing in Homosassa. Crew members on scene were able to safely put out the fire. No one was injured during this unfortunate event. The main tiki hut was destroyed in the flames, however.
