The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest today in a nearly one-year-old investigation. Concluding their lengthy and meticulous investigation, CCSO detectives arrested 33-year-old Jose Dorta III for aggravated manslaughter.

On Sunday, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) was notified by a landowner, who was surveying his property, of the discovery of skeletal human remains located in a wooded area near West Riverbend Road, in Crystal River. Detectives with the CCSO’s Major Crimes Unit and Forensics Unit, along with Medical Examiner’s Office, responded and secured the scene.

The skeletal human remains recovered on April 4, 2020 by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, have been identified as those of 29-year-old, Kyle Clifford Corriveau. This investigation is ongoing, and there is no suspected foul play or any threat to public safety.
