An 80-year-old Citrus County resident diagnosed with COVID-19 passed away today. This is the first COVID-19 death in Citrus County. We are expressing our condolences to the person’s family and will continue to work with the Florida Department of Health (DOH) and our community partners to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Today, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence in the area of West Alamo Drive in Beverly Hills in reference to a possible shooting. BOCC’s meeting over EMS ‘failings’ ends with angry words
Tempers flared on Feb. 13 at the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting. The BOCC is not satisfied that the Nature Coast EMS (NCEMS) is providing quality ambulance service in the county. Sheriff’s Office makes largest fetanyl, meth bust in county history
