Never Stop Believin’ Journey Tribute concert rescheduled to 2021

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, Citrus County Parks and Recreation has rescheduled the upcoming Never Stop Believin’ concert, “A Tribute to Journey” from August 28, 2020 to Friday, June 18, 2021.

The Division is taking extra precautions to put on an even greater show next year and accommodate a bigger crowd at Citrus Springs Community Center. Per usual, the doors will open at 6:00 pm and the band will go on at 7:00 pm.

CF Citrus Campus EMT program looking for students

LECANTO, Fla. (July 8, 2020) — The College of Central Florida’s Emergency Medical Technician program and Paramedic program are looking for students who are interested in pursuing a short-term certificate program this fall.

Both programs are financial aid eligible.

The EMT program is a 15-week course that includes lectures, skills labs and clinical experiences on ambulances and in an emergency department. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for state certification and may find work as an EMT on ambulances, in hospitals, in industrial settings and more.

‘She loves out loud’ day observed Feb. 15

The Citrus County Commission has declared that Feb. 15, 2020 is “She Loves Out Loud Day” in Citrus County.

The event is celebrated throughout the state as a time of prayer seeking God’s favor in the lives of everyone; in particular, lives of women and children. (February 13, 2020)
