Citrus County Parks and Recreation has installed eleven new scoreboards at ball fields in Central Ridge District Park (Holder) and Bicentennial Park (Crystal River).
The project was funded from the Capital Improvements Fund (CIP) and had a budget of $65,000; total expense was $44,282.44 for a savings of $20,717.56.
Installation and electric work was completed in house by Grounds Maintenance and Maintenance Operations. The boards each come with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
The seven scoreboards at Bicentennial Park and the four at Central Ridge District Park are available for local businesses sponsorship opportunities. All revenue raised through sponsorship will be used for future scoreboard maintenance expenses.
