Florida Virtual Entrepreneur Center Director Michael Zaharios guest speaker at SCORE event

Nature Coast SCORE’s free and open to the public by registration Sept. 23 event will focus on small business recovery and entrepreneurial optimism for the future of Florida and the Nature Coast with a kick-off by guest speaker Michael Zaharios, Director of the Florida Virtual Entrepreneur Center.

For more than a decade, Michael worked with the Florida High Tech Corridor Council as the Director of the Florida Virtual Entrepreneur Center and grew the online platform to serve entrepreneurs in all 67 counties across Florida. When you spend time with Michael, you’ll begin to unleash the Entrepreneur In You.

The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a wine and appetizer reception at the Citrus County Historical Courthouse Museum, then on to the Valerie Theatre, both in Inverness, at 7:15pm for an program filled with dynamic speakers to encourage and inspire attendees navigating the new economy. Along with Michael, local entrepreneurs scheduled to speak are Jim Briley, Shipyard Dog; Sherry Bechtel, Inverness Bicycle and Fitness; Andy Chan, Right Rudder Aviation.

Over the last 30 years, Nature Coast SCORE has provided small business services and support to area entrepreneurs through face-to-face and virtual mentoring, business workshops on timely topics, and leadership skills development. The chapter’s 19 volunteers have an average of 30 years of business experience, with a wide range of expertise.
