Deputies looking for bank robbery suspect

The BB&T bank at U.S.19 and South Venable in Crystal River had to be closed closed due to a robbery at about 3:15 p.m., the Citrus County Sheriff's Office reported on Wednesday.

Citrus County deputies are actively looking for a man who robbed and attacked a clerk at a Sunoco gas state in Hernando on Thursday and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Sheriff's Office said Thursday that just before 8 p.m. deputies responded to a burglar alarm at the gas station located at 1211 N. Florida Ave. in Hernando.

CCSO apprehends Homosassa robbery suspect (updated)

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office has apprehended a female suspect in connection with a Homosassa robbery that occurred on Friday night.

The warrant had been issued earlier for Tiffany S. Rosier, 47, a black female, who was believed to be armed.

A suspect who is said to have robbed an Internet Cafe on Wednesday in Dunnellon is now behind bars in Marion County after he got involved in a hit-and-run in Marion County, and was subsequently arrested.
 
Akeem Jackson, 27, of Dunnellon was jailed in Marion County, and faces charges there and in Citrus County.
