Detectives investigate racial slur on Citrus Hills Home

This blurred-out racial slur was spray painted across one site of a home in Citrus Hills, the Sheriff's Office said.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is investigating a case involving a racial slur spray-painted in large letters on the side of a home in Citrus Hills.

Deputies who responded to the call at 7:05 a.m. saw that the slur covered  the entire side of the home. A neighbor phoned the communications center, the CCSO said, thinking that the residents of the home were on vacation.

The homeowners, who are black, were in fact home. A neighborhood canvas was then performed, which yielded no results.
