Escaped Hernando County inmate captured

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office today announced that the inmate that CCSO was helping Hernando County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) find has been found and arrested.

Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis said shortly before 10 a.m. today that Joshua Holmes, 35, was found by HCSO deputies in Masaryktown near U.S. 41.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is canvassing the area near U.S. 19 and 98 in Homosassa and near the Hernando County line.

The CCSO is assisting Hernando County Sheriff's Office with trying to locate escaped inmate Joshua Holmes, 35, who was on a work detail at the Northwest Solid Waste Management Facility (landfill) located on Norris Bishop Loop.

Holmes and two other inmates were working under the supervision of Hernando County landfill employees at the time of the occurrence.
