Warrant issued for suspected bank robber

A warrant has been issued for a Homosassa man in connection with the robbery on Friday of the Bank of America in Homosassa on Suncoast Boulevard.
 
The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is looking for the whereabouts of Brent Edward Bevil, 38, of Homosassa, who is wanted for felony armed robbery. 
 
Investigators used crime scene forensics, still photographs of the suspect, crime tips received by the Sheriff's Office dispatch center and information received by Crime Stoppers to identify Brent Bevil.
 
Bevil is described as 6-foot-three, 160 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He is homeless, and deputies believe he is still at large in the Homosassa area, but could be hiding in another area of Citrus County.
 
If you know the whereabouts of Edward Bevil, call 911 immediately. You can also remain anonymous and be eligible for up to a $3,000 reward by calling Citrus County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-ANY-TIPS.
